Hello, I’m Ellie!

I’m an Artist & Illustrator based in Bristol.

My drawing and printmaking practice is largely influenced by landscapes and coastlines. I enjoy returning to the same location over time, using sketchbooks to document moments, compositions and moods. The work evolves in the studio as a fusion of drawn observations and memory. Walking and cycling through the landscapes forms an integral part of my working process, as drawings are imbued with the narrative of a journey.

My illustrations often explore themes of history and nature, with a particular interest in creating heightened mood and atmosphere. I enjoy connecting viewers with places, narratives and historical moments.
